Ciao,
Blogging is new for me, and so far it seems a little weird because I feel like I am talking to myself.. Anyways, I just made this because before now I didn't have too much exciting news to share...
But that changed yesterday when I found out my host family! I am soooo excited now. Everything got super real and I still can't believe I am leaving so soon. I will be living in Northern Italy in a very small town called Sarre. Sarre only has 5,000 people; it's pretty crazy that I am moving from Morganton (what I think is a tiny town) to a place a third of the size. I think it will be a great place to live, and thankfully there is a large town (35,000 people) only ten minutes away.
Now for my host family:
I have only emailed back and forth with my host dad, but from what I can tell I got a great family :) My host father, Renato, is 60 years old and is married to Rosanna. They have three children: Irene (23), Francesco (21), and Alessandro (16). I am pretty pumped to have a sister since I only have one older brother. And I think having a brother that is my age will be pretty cool for a change. They have sent me pictures of each of them plus a picture of their house (which is amazing), as well as a picture of the view from their house (even more amazing)!
My Italian....is awful. Haha I know close to nothing. I'm hoping it will get better and better as I keep using Rosetta Stone and talking to la mia famiglia. That's about all I have for now,
Arrivederci,
Emma
